North American Pizza and Ice Cream Show: In February I drove through the storms to get to Columbus, OH for the NAPICS. The hilight was meeting and chatting with Tony Gemignani….A bonafide “pizza Rock Star” with 7 Neapolitan and broader range pizzerias in California and Vegas, three books on Pizza and a speaking tour career, Tony is the most humble guy with the heart of a teacher. I was happy to buy the new book, “The Pizza Bible” and have it signed by Tony. He is the ONLY American to EVER win the Pizza Championship for Guaranteed traditional style Neapolitan Pizza in Naples, Italy….It was a great show where I attended several seminars, met some great people, learned a great deal from dough with Tony to Food and Labor cost forecasting and tracking for the planning of the new little take out pizzeria in Bethel….Then I drove the another storm, back across PA to meet Grace, Nancy and Victoria in Shawneee, PA…..where Victoria and I skied our FIRST Black Diamond ski run together!!! Lots a white knuckle driving, but WELL worth it!!! We’re SO GLAD to see the sun shine now!!! Cheers, Bruce
